The blog will become a regular feature to introduce you to the wide variety of fun and interesting places there are to visit in Berkshire. Most places we visit are free. Even in the rain, the country parks, nature reserves, woods and hills of Berkshire can be such exciting places. My boys love being outdoors and even on the most lazy, rainy weekends we always have to find time to at least visit the local park. We are incredibly lucky to live within walking distance of Swinley Forest and several playgrounds. If your kids aren’t familiar with the countryside then I hope I can inspire you to nurture a love of the natural world in everyone in your family. Nowhere in the county is too far from beautiful countryside so pack your waterproofs and suncream (you’re bound to need both this summer) and discover the great outdoors!
I the future, as the blog spot grows, we will add locations of each blog to a map of the area. This will be a great way of finding the best places at a glance. In the meantime, take a look at our map of Berkshire attractions where you can find all sorts of things to do from soft plays to science discovery centres.
