February 2013 Half Term Activities

Keeping the kids busy in the holidays is no easy task. So, take heart from this extensive list of fun activities in Berkshire including crafts, sport, nature discovery indoors and out.
Libraries and museums are always fun whatever the weather and with extra events organised over the half term toddlers, tweens and parents will all want to get stuck in.

Thursday 14th Feb
Beale Park opens its gates for 2013!
A day full of adventure in the playgrounds and watching monkeys, birds and meerkats.

Tuesday 19th Feb

10:00 – 12:00. 4-11 year olds can enjoy discovering their creative ability with clay, collage, drawing and sculpture with plenty to take home at the end of the morning. Dress for mess. £18

Wednesday 20th Feb
REME Assault Course and Special Trucks 11am – 3:30pm at REME Museum, Isaac Newton Road, Arborfield, RG2 9NH.

10:00 – 12:00. 7-12 year olds will love throwing and hand sculpting their own air-dry clay creations. Dress for mess. £17.50

Major Mustard’s interactive puppet show! at Thatcham Nature Discovery Centre Meet Major Mustard and the residents of his curious cottage – an uppity witch and flying potatoes! Will Major Mustard cope?
Performances at 11am and 2pm
£5.00 per person, booking essential

Build a Bird Box as a Family at Thatcham Nature Discovery Centre Staff from the Nature Discovery Centre and volunteers from the Reading RSPB group will be on hand to assist you and show you the best way to care for your box and the birds that make it a home.

Friday 22nd Feb
