A baby Tyrannosaurus Rex figure stolen from its egg at a mini-golf course in Berkshire is being “missed by his fellow dinosaurs”, its owners said.

They have asked two men seen on CCTV walking off with the 3ft (1m) dinosaur to return him to the golf course at the The Oracle shopping centre in Reading.

The men were seen smuggling the dinosaur out under a jacket.

But they forgot to hide its tail, which could be seen poking out as they left the Jurassic Park-themed course.

Centre manager Steve Belam said the theft happened on 30 March, the day before the new Jurassic Golf attraction was due to open.

He said: “A lot of residents are very upset about the little dino’s disappearance.

“We’re urging the pair seen on the CCTV to anonymously return the dinosaur to The Oracle as soon as possible as his fellow dinosaurs are missing him.

“If anyone has information on the missing mini T-Rex’s whereabouts, we’re asking them to help us track it down by tweeting us with the hashtag #lostdinosaur.

“We’re not sure of the duo’s intentions but we hope that it will be returned to its rightful place soon.”

The two men are thought to have been part of a larger group of six.

Thames Valley Police is also investigating.
